Turkish Salep, incredibly delicious hot drink


Well, I never drink coffee so Salep could be my healthy coffee or it is more than that, it is a lovely touch of mother nature and only with 3 ingredients. MUST TRY! I love it in winter and highly recommended with a loads of cinnamon on top.

It is a traditional drink and it was also served at that time of the Ottoman Empire. Salep is produced from the ground root of a wild orchid of the same name, mixed with milk and cinnamon. Salep is readily found during the winter months in most patisseries.
